Weekly Peace Vigils
Peace vigils at the Fountain in Five Points South
Wednesdays: 7:30am to 8:30am
Saturdays: 5:00pm to 6:00pm
After Saturday vigils, we usually adjourn to New China Town for dinner and conversation.
First Friday Mass
First Friday Masses are celebrated at Mary's House, followed by a potluck supper.
First Friday of every month
6:30pm
Bring a dish to share at the potluck if you can, or just bring yourself.
Death Penalty Vigils
Wee vigil on days executions are scheduledthat day in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse & the Art Museum, Arrington & Woods North.Peace vigils at the Fountain in Five Points South
11:30am to 1:00pm
If the execution is carried out, we also have a short requiem prayer vigil at Dr. King's statue across from the Civil Rigts Institute at 5:55pm. Alabama kills people at 6:00pm.
