A LENTEN RETREAT WITH

SUZANNE BELOTE AND BRAYTON SHANLEY

Gather with us this Lent for an interfaith retreat to explore nonviolence as a way of life, more necessary than ever in this season of war, racism, political divisiveness, and ecocide. Suzanne and Brayton have spent 40 years living an alternative vision at Agape, a lay Christian community in Ware, MA. They will share their insights with us and challenge us with their questions. How do we make peace with ourselves, with “the other”, and with the earth?

Suzanne Belote and Brayton Shanley have spent years learning to live in radical nonviolence, environmental sustainability, simplicity, beauty, and companionship. They confront racism, militarism, and consumerism with a simple Gospel clarity.

Their most recent book is Loving Life on the Margins: the story of the Agape Community, which is included in the cost of registration.
